Chairman message
If you are expecting to see a corporate image of me, you can but that is not what we are all about. Healing & Hope 4 Homeless is about people. Those people we service by providing food every two weeks in blazing hot weather, poring rain and mostly sunny days in South Los Angeles. This is my home where I grew up; these are my people and when the two other men and I decided to make a difference we didn’t know what or how we were going to do it, but we had to do something to better this community. Those two men grew up in South Los Angeles as well, so their commitment was as strong as mines. The people who volunteer believe in this community and most of them grew up here. Their commitment comes from coming through the lines to get food, a need to help, a need to belong and those men and women who are in other organizations set on serving Humanity. Many people do not know us or know us by the people lined up every first and third Saturday but those who come never forget the experience. Our volunteers work hard as I do, and I will be the first one in to set up and the last one to leave after cleaning up. I do not know what is in store for Healing & Hope, but I am proud of what we have accomplished, and we are not finished with South Los Angeles. Respectfully:
